I went through Godot Shaders and built me a starter base of framework shaders to give me a jump start. It's enough to give me a good push forward. Thank you to the people at https://godotshaders.com/ for providing some good CC0 shaders and letting me progress more rapidly. It actually saved me a lot of time, and I thank you all for that fact. If you know what your looking for it will save quite some time from having to do all that and building a basic shader library faster. To be honest I'm quite impressed so far with the Godot community experience. It is making my overall experience enjoyable again and I appreciate that.
Visit the downloads section for a download of the starter building blocks shader library for Godot 4. I fixed them so they work for Godot 4. These can do a lot if you know what to use them for or how to build off of them.
Update: 5/2/25 4:26 PM
I am going back now and working on the level assets to get more done and throw things in Godot 4.4.1 to get make actual progress. I need to go back to being goal oriented again and get myself out the bad habit behavior that developed.
Update 5/5/25 2:11 M
I am going through and breaking up hard edge geometry for proper shading of the geometry not because you taught me because I knew how to before you and issues! You would be surprised how much I remember on my own!!! The current Berserka Trap spike is 1500 triangles more than enough for a 3inch thick trap spike. It has a mild design that is robust enough to help me recover my good habits.
