Looks like I got my R2 Next Gen Skin finally done. Took me 4hrs to fix stupid issues that weren't mine! this is my new R2 Base Character. I dropped the eyes I have to redo them. This is just in the Blender Sculpt view modeler. This s what I was actually going for took me forever and a lot of swapping back and forth to get this far. One 2K PNG diffuse texture and a PBR about 4mb in size on the texture. Not bad for an old dinosaur Lenovo ThinkPad T420 from 2009 and just in sculpt with texture shading turned on running Blender 3.4.1 on an Intel HD400 integrated GPU. Exactly what was going for. Below is 104,000 triangles. Works for me! Made my R2 skin by hand. I'll be focus on his head next and the eyes.
It takes a long time starting from a blank UV Map to build a NextGen skin. Eyes take just as long. The mesh is a 48hr sculpted mesh based on a MakeHuman 1.3.0 mesh I retarget myself and then Blender sculpted its 104,000 triangles perfect for my game purpose. It's amazing what comes back to you if left alone!
This is with some of my game lightings applied. I'll probably spend the next 5hrs trying to nail down the lighting for the game.
